Kelly Clarkson is known for her charm and wit on and off the stage. So when it comes to getting her celebrity colleagues to reveal juicy secrets, she never shies away from asking the tough questions. Which is exactly what happened when she had former The Voice mega mentor Ed Sheeran as a virtual guest on her talk show.
During an episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show, the host put Sheeran on the spot and asked him to name his favorite coach on The Voice. Sheeran, who has mentored on the show in the past, was hesitant at first, but Clarkson didn't let him off the hook easily.
The cheeky interaction between the two singers is in a short video clip on the talk show's official Twitter account. While all of the coaches have been supportive of Sheeran, Clarkson is the only one who gave him a special gift. That gift was a jacket, which he still cherishes to this day.
"Well Kelly, only one person. Only one person gave me a gift," Sheeran said. "It must've been you because I still actually have the jacket. I still have the jacket in this house."
Despite their different backgrounds and styles, it's clear that Sheeran and Clarkson share a deep respect and admiration for each other's talents. Clarkson singing a cover of Sheeran's song "Bad Habits," on her show's Kellyoke segment showed how a possible collaboration between the two artists can happen.
